FAQS:
Did electric rates increase?
No. SWAECC’s base electric rates did not change. However, wholesale power costs can fluctuate during extreme weather events.
If I didn’t use more electricty, why might my bill be higher?
Electric bills are affected by both energy use and the cost of power. During severe winter weather or extreme heat, regional energy prices can increase, which may impact monthly bills for some members.
What should I do if I need help with my bill?
Members are encouraged to contact our Member Services or Billing team to discuss payment options or available assistance.
