Extended Due Dates

If your primary source of income comes from certain government benefit programs, you may qualify for Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative’s Extended Due Date Plan. This program changes the due date of your electric bill to better align with when you receive your monthly benefits.

You may qualify if your primary source of income is:

  • Social Security
  • Veterans Administration disability benefits
  • Veterans Administration retirement benefits
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC)
  • Aid to the Aged, Blind, and Disabled (AABD)

Verification

We may require verification of your income source and the date you receive your monthly benefit payment.

Plan Requirements

To remain enrolled in the Extended Due Date Plan, payments must be made by the adjusted due date. You may be removed from the plan if you:

  • Fail to pay your bill on time 2 consecutive times, or
  • Fail to pay your bill on time any 3 times within a 12-month period
